I’m super happy to announce you that next week I am going to travel to Asia again, this time to go to Taiwan :O
I’ve been officially invited to the “VR VISIONARIES” event that will take place in Kaohsiung from May 14th to 16th. There I will be able to meet some people from the Taiwanese VR ecosystem and be able to create business relationships with some local XR companies for my consultancy agency New Technology Walkers. There will also be delegations from other companies from all around the world (USA, New Zealand, France, etc…) and so it will be really a fantastic opportunity to exchange opinions about immersive realities with people that have completely different points of view from mine. I really can’t wait.
I already know a bit the AR and VR ecosystem that there is in Mainland China, and I think that it will be fantastic to see how it works in the isle of Taiwan. I’m really interested to see the peculiarities of the XR ecosystems in all parts of the world. Some people told me that the startup/entrepreneurial ecosystem there is great, and that’s why various big companies are born here (e.g. HTC, Acer). I will try to discover more about this talking with local entrepreneurs and I will let you know.
The program that I have for this trip is really interesting: apart from all the meetings and conferences, probably I will visit the Viveland arcade and I also hope to visit some big corporates there. And apart from the work, I will try to reserve some time to tour the marvels of this part of the world. After having been in Kaohsiung, I will head to Taipei to tour the most important city of Taiwan!
When I told some friends that I was going to Taiwan, everyone told me that it is really a fantastic place. I really can’t wait to hop on a plane and be there… this kind of travels to the other part of the world is really tiresome, but this pain is always worth it.
I won’t be alone… as always, my Chinese assistant Miss S will be with me, to help me in connecting with Chinese-speaking people and companies… and to help me in surviving when I will have to buy some food!
If you will be in Taiwan in the same timeframe, let me know… maybe we will be able to meet! And if you won’t be there, stay tuned on this blog and on my social media channels… I will give you a virtual taste of Taiwan 😉
