Happy Chinese New Year 2019!
Today, the Chinese new year begins!
It will be the year of the pig, so if you are 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 (or whatever multiple of 12) years old, it is your year. You may think that this means that you will be very lucky, while actually, it is the opposite. As this website explains
According to Chinese astrology, in the year of their birth sign (本命年běnmìngnián /
bnn -ming-nyen / ‘origin (of) life year’) people offend Tai Sui, the god of age in Chinese mythology, and so have bad luck.
Not that the Ho
In 2019, Tiger will damage Tai Sui, implying unstable luck and many troubles during the year. Your luck for money, love, health and
interpersonal relationship will be damaged easily. It’s better to be prudent for things uncertain about, have two strings to your bow and try not to stir up troubles in the year.
So, bad luck in money, love, health, and relationships. Seems a fun year the one that I have ahead of me…
Luckily the ancient Chinese horoscope doesn’t talk about VR, so I really hope that at least in this sector of my life, I will be happy. And I really wish that you all VR people in China and in the rest of the world will be very happy in this year of the Pig.
Regarding my Chinese new year, I have decided to start with a little restyling of my blog (have you noticed the new annoying popups and sharing buttons?). Some days ago, I have started a survey in my group of readers/followers/friends to understand what you like of this blog and how I should improve in the upcoming times.
Many people have complained about the mobile layout of the newsletter, and I have just fixed it. Now, thanks to some Mailchimp’s magic, it is far more readable, both from mobile and from PC. If you don’t know what I write in my newsletter… well, every week I send people a report of the most important AR and VR news they should be informed about. You can see the one that I’ve just sent at this address. If you are interested in something like that, well, subscribe!
I have asked how many people read the website from mobile, PC or VR headset and I have discovered that no one reads my blog from within VR. Come on guys and girls… you are VR enthusiasts… why don’t you read my blog from VR?
Regarding the most liked VR headsets in this community, well, the Vive wins, followed by Rift and Go.
From the overall feedback I received, it seems that most of my readers are interested in the technical and business aspects of VR, and not much in gaming or such. I will try to continue mixing
Other notable things that most of you have asked from the survey and on which I am working on:
- Many people have asked for a VR community of readers of this blog. I will try to set it up… maybe on Facebook or on some VR social world;
- Some people have asked to have a consultancy by me, so I opened a page where I talk about this service;
- Some people have asked to have a paid banner on this website, so there is now a page to talk about this possibility;
- Some people asked for more videos… let’s see what I will be able to provide;
- Most people are said that they are interested in having posts being written not only by me, so I will be more open to guest posts and collaborations. If you are interested in writing a post for my blog, let me know;
- Some have asked for an XR experience developed by me. Stay tuned for future updates…
So, I hope that you will enjoy more my platform in this new year. But I guess that this won’t happen since I will have bad luck in money, health, love, etc…
But this is me, I really hope that for you it will be different and that you will be a lot happy and you will have a lot of luck in the upcoming months. Have a wonderful Chinese New Year!
