I’ll be back to China!
I guess you already understood the content of this post from the title. Exactly, it’s a review of the new Meta Quest 3s which someone inside a hotel has forgotten… no, I’m just kidding, I’m telling you that I’m going back to China at the end of the month!
I will be in the Red Dragon country from August 29th to September 23rd, visiting a few cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Qingdao, and Beijing. It will be my usual mix of leisure time meeting friends and eating delicious Asian food, networking time visiting interesting Chinese companies, and work time doing my development job remotely. It will also be my first time staying in China during the Mid-Autumn festival, so I guess I will eat a lot of mooncakes.
Why am I telling this to you? Well, of course, because in case you are in China and you want to meet me, let me know! The same in case you have an interesting XR company or you can introduce me to an interesting XR company located in one of the above cities (super-thank you if you do this!). Since I’m touching a few cities in a bit more than 20 days, my time in each city is quite limited, so unluckily I won’t be able to meet everyone. But I will do my best to meet everyone I can 🙂
For sure I want to meet with my man Nikk Mitchell, see what the amazing guys at FXG are doing, and have a lot of fun together. I’m going to Hangzhou exactly for this purpose. If I get arrested in Hangzhou, you know who to blame for this.
It’s a pity that Pico is launching its product in China on August, 20th, so I’m missing this event for a few days. But I’ll try to see if I can get some fresh info about it from them when I’m in Beijing and Qingdao.
This trip will also be the occasion to evaluate how is the Chinese XR ecosystem lately. As usual, I’ll try to keep you updated about the most interesting I’ll see through this blog, so stay tuned! And subscribe to my newsletter to not lose my posts in case you have not done that, yet.
I can’t wait to live new fantastic adventures in China and also to meet you there… 在中国见!
